About the Artist
Bio:
Cassandra IsFree is a 4x published author, spoken word artist, slam poet, playwright/award-winning actress from Norfolk, VA. She is a founding member of the Verb Benders Slam Team from Hampton Roads, VA. Cassandra has been published on 3 continents, Australia, Asia and North America. She has been featured two times on Button Poetry and has featured at Write About Now in Houston, TX. She has also been a workshop facilitator for Write About Now for 2 years. Cassandra is studying for her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction and currently works as a middle school special education teacher. She loves performing and teaching.
