About the Artist
Bio:
Cassandra IsFree is a 4x published author, spoken word artist, slam poet, playwright/award-winning actress from Norfolk, VA. She is a founding member of the Verb Benders Slam Team from Hampton Roads, VA. Cassandra has been published on 3 continents, Australia, Asia and North America. She has been featured two times on Button Poetry, has featured at Write About Now in Houston, TX and is the reigning Queen of the South poetry champion. She is also a self-contracted workshop facilitator and is available for hire. Cassandra is studying for her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction and currently works as a middle school special education teacher. She loves performing and teaching.
